(DALLAS – Aug. 8, 2017) – ToughTested, the leader in mobile power and durable, rugged tech accessories, will sponsor a number of events and activities at the upcoming Great American Truck Show, Aug. 24-26.
ToughTested will host a celebratory tailgate party on Friday evening in honor of the completion of the MATS 2 GATS Fitness Challenge, organized in partnership with Tom Kyrk of Road Tested Living. The healthy trucker initiative provides a community where drivers can share educational tips and motivational messages, such as nutritious recipes, exercise plans, and advice for making health-conscious choices while on the road in order to encourage healthy lifestyles. The ultimate goal was for the trucking community to collectively “lose a ton” by shedding 2,000 pounds in body weight between the 2017 Mid-America Truck Show, held in Louisville in March, and the start of GATS.
Kyrk will reveal the weight loss total at the Health Pavilion on Friday afternoon, followed by ToughTested’s celebration that evening.
“It’s great to be involved with such a positive experience for the trucking community,” said Tom Buske, VP of Sales and Brand Strategy at ToughTested. “GATS is a lot of fun for us all, and we’re excited to be able to do something to give back to a group of people who are so important to our brand.”
In addition to celebrating the completion of MATS 2 GATS, ToughTested will also take on a large role in providing entertainment for GATS attendees. Planned activities include:
- Multiple concerts from truck driver and country music artist Bill Weaver
- Cooking demonstrations, healthy recipe tips, and driver health discussions with Kyrk
- Autographs and photos with NASCAR driver Cassie Gannis
- A vehicle safety roundtable discussion with Weaver, Kyrk, Gannis, and truck driver George Parker, of The George and Wendy Show
