TBS Factoring Service is teaming with the Great American Trucking Show (GATS) to address the national driver shortage by providing free Authorities to drivers who are ready to be their own boss.

TBS will be in Booth 1644 helping new drivers, on the spot, apply for FMCSA MC/DOT# and BOC-3 authorities and will be waiving its service fee as a way to give back to the industry with no strings attached — no tricks, no gimmicks, and no obligation. Prospective drivers will pay only the $300 FMCSA registration fee.

“GATS is thrilled to have TBS Factoring providing this service at the show, which will help drivers to take the next step in their careers,” said Emily Larson Director of Event Services for GATS.

Demand for truck drivers has never been greater. At the end of 2017 America had a shortage of 51,000 drivers, according to Bob Costello, chief economist at the American Trucking Associations. With unemployment at record lows, the shortage is getting worse.

“America needs more drivers,” said Jennifer Fogg, president of TBS Factoring Service. “This was a way we could make a difference by helping to create the next generation of independent owner operators.”

With more than 50 years of experience serving motor carriers, TBS Factoring Service makes trucking easier with technology and services to help drivers get established, stay compliant, find loads and get paid faster.
